Ms. Lyne said the family were then forced to engage in a “horrible” -five-a-half journey back one hour while the trio were still vomiting. Nimue their daughter, three, was the only one who fall ill.

Butlin said that the staff followed the procedure and told the family to leave Lyne to stop the spread of the “contagious disease”. A spokesman denied the illness was food poisoning.

But Ms. Lyne, Swindon, Wiltshire, said she is convinced that it was the food of the station’s sickened -. And that the staff should have been more sympathetic

“It was a real test. This was our worst experience as a family, “she said.

“Their conditions apparently say that guests must leave the station if they are sick, but we got sick there – we are sure of that – and I’m convinced it was food poisoning. So to have obtained from their station and then be turfed out was very painful.

“It was supposed to be a holiday, but it turned into a nightmare.

the family of four arrived at the hotel for their five-day break on Monday, June 13. on Wednesday night they had fallen ill.

Nimue was the only member of the family did not eat at the restaurant and was also the only one who fall ill – Ms. Lyne claims indicates food poisoning.

the next morning, Ms. Lyne called on station staff to request new towels after using theirs to mop up the mess.

The staff then asked for more information about their disease – and told them to leave immediately

When Ms. Lyne says her husband was too ill to drive, she claims the staff. gave them a two-hour window to exit the station.

Ms. Lyne said she understands why the staff had to stop the disease spreading around the station, but she said they seemed “reluctant” to give all their time to leave.

“They wanted to leave immediately despite being very ill,” she claims. “Even after explaining how bad we were, they gave us two hours and said we would have to go after.

“We paid for” gold standard “but we don ‘t feel that we were treated this way at all. “

Ms. Lyne claims they were also informed that they would be unable to leave the room and give up their refund £ 111 if they did not leave the station.

She said: ‘. We were asked to sign a form confirming receipt of the rebate as a full and final settlement

‘I wrote on the form that I signed “under protest” n ‘certainly not considered a final, but I has effectively been taken hostage and felt I had no choice but to sign at that time.

“We do not feel like they cared about us at all. Everything was done with a smiling face and very “friendly” but there was no move at all. They just wanted rid of us right away

She added. “Most stomach bugs have a gestation period of 24-48 hours, even if it was not food poisoning and was a bug, since it is the end of our third day at Butlin, I think we picked up at the station.

“on this basis, one would think they would be much more sympathetic.

the A spokesman Butlin said the situation was” regrettable “but that it was important to stop the spread of “contagious disease”.

‘We always adhere to our procedures to try to limit the spread of this disease.

“We had a total of eight cases of illness during the break. Right now we had over 4000 people at the scene.

‘Of these eight cases, we account for all others where food poisoning is a possible cause.

“Further, our reports indicate the family all ate different meals, which makes a good question even more unlikely.

They added: “it is obvious that we regret that Ms. Lyne and his family were unwell, and we hope they have made a full recovery.

“we made sure that the family left the station with a cash refund covering the rest of their intended stay with us.
